Faculty Day out at Area 83

IIIT Bangalore’s faculty members, accompanied by their families, went on an exhilarating day of exploration and excitement, unearthing their inner adventurers and immersing themselves in the joy of discovering new elements of fun at Area 83, a resort in the outskirts of Bangalore which was an ideal getaway to unwind yourself.

Micro Workshop on ‘Enhancing Security, Efficiency & Performance in B5G Networks’

IIIT Bangalore, TSDSI and DoT jointly organised a hybrid Micro Workshop on ‘Enhancing Security, Efficiency & Performance in B5G Networks’. The workshop introduced the audience to some of the state-of-the-art challenges and how to address them for designing beyond 5G wireless systems.

IIITB Innovation Council (IIC) meeting

IIITB Innovation Council (IIC) meeting was chaired by our Dean (R&D), Prof Srinath Srinivasa. In addition to the Council’s members, a large number of stakeholders including faculty members, students, Registrar, Commodore SR Sridhar, and CFO, Mr. S Piramanayagam attended the meeting and shared their thoughts and ideas for improving the Institute’s position in the ARIIA Rankings. The stakeholders discussed about various events that could be organized by the Institute, for facilitating student innovators and entrepreneurs to convert their ideas into innovations. The support that could be leveraged by the innovators from the ecosystem was also discussed in detail.

MoU Signed between Novo Nordisk and IIITB

Novo Nordisk, a Global Business Services (NOVO NORDISK GBS) and IIIT Bangalore inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to combine IIITB’s technology and digital capabilities with Novo Nordisk’s development and data science expertise to explore breakthrough innovations and efficiency gains to better serve the needs of patients.

Under the terms of the MoU, IIITB and Novo Nordisk GBS will jointly engage in initiatives including research, innovation projects, hackathons, case competitions, guest lectures, education programs, internships, placements, employee development, branding and corporate social responsibility collaborations.

Workshop on ‘Various Aspects of Quantum Computing’

IIITB COMET Foundation organized a workshop on ‘Various Aspects of Quantum Computing’ at IIITB. Several topics including ‘cold atom quantum technologies’, ‘hybrid quantum machine learning methods-use cases’, ‘non-linear oscillators & adiabatic quantum computation’ and ‘connectivity in large computing networks’ were covered in the workshop.
