June has been a month of meaningful milestones and steady progress at IIIT-Bangalore, reflecting the Institute’s commitment to academic excellence, research, innovation, and societal impact.

This issue of NAVIIINA brings together stories that reflect the diverse achievements of our community. From students representing the Institute on international platforms and qualifying for prestigious global competitions, to faculty receiving distinguished recognitions and contributing to impactful research, every accomplishment reflects the passion and perseverance that define IIIT-Bangalore.

A significant milestone this month was the Parisar Pravesh of the IIIT-Bangalore Extension Campus on Hosa Road, marking an important step in the Institute’s continued growth and its vision of expanding opportunities for learning, research, and collaboration. The month also witnessed several engaging academic interactions, including expert talks, international collaborations, and meetings that strengthened partnerships across institutions and disciplines.

Our commitment to creating technology for public good continued to make an impact, with Tele-MANAS crossing the milestone of 40 lakh calls, demonstrating how research and innovation at IIIT-Bangalore are contributing to addressing real-world challenges at scale. Alongside these achievements, the campus community came together to celebrate World Environment Day, International Yoga Day, and Food Safety Month, reaffirming the importance of sustainability, wellbeing, and community engagement in campus life.

As this academic year draws to a close, we also celebrate the accomplishments of our graduating students. Their dedication, resilience, and pursuit of excellence have prepared them to embark on new journeys as professionals, researchers, entrepreneurs, and leaders. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the 2nd  graduating batch of Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Product Design and Management (PGD-DPDM) programme, Class of 2026 and wish them success in all their future endeavours.
