IIIT-Bangalore hosted MOSIP Connect in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, marking a significant milestone in the realm of global digital identity. The event, held from March 5-7, 2024, saw participation from delegates representing 28 countries and 100 partner companies. Led by Prof. Debabrata Das, Director and Prof. Rajagopalan from IIIT-Bangalore, sessions highlighted MOSIP’s advancements and collaborative efforts. Furthermore, 17 countries solidified partnerships with IIIT-Bangalore by signing MoUs, encouraging MOSIP’s impactful role. This gathering, the largest DPI-focused event hosted by IIIT-B, celebrated successful implementations worldwide. Prof. Debabrata Das expressed gratitude to the MOSIP team, advisory committees and donors for their invaluable support.

Prof. Srinath Srinivasa visited several areas in rural Malawi in southern Africa, as part of a project in collaboration with Rural Inclusion UK and Airtel Africa. The visit involved interaction with several Community Based Organizations (CBOs) that work with rural communities in the area of financial inclusion.
