R. Vangimalla(PH2016009) and J. Sreevalsan-Nair presented two posters at ISMB 2020 :

  • “Influence of COVID-19 Transmission Stages and Demographics on Length of In-Hospital Stay in Singapore for the First 1000 Patients” in the COVID-19 track (also co-authored by P. R. Ghogale),
  • Construction and Visualization of Diseasome of Lung Diseases Associated with COVID-19 from Co-association Networks of Multi-omics Data” in the NetBio COSI track.  The talks and posters were presented at the virtual conference. The lightning talks and poster presentations were conducted during July 15-16.

 

A Multiscale Consensus Method Using Factor Analysis to Extract Modular Regions in the Functional Brain Network” , by R. Vangimalla (PH2016009) and J. Sreevalsan-Nair  is accepted in the Proceedings of the 42nd Annual Conferences of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBC 2020), July 2020. The talk has been presented at the virtual conference held during July 20-24, 2020.

 

“Need for a regulatory framework for the National AI Marketplace”, by Sridhar, V., Shrisha Rao has been published in India AI on August 10.

“4IR and the digital platform economy: Opportunities and policy challenges for India and the ASEAN”, by Balaji Parthasarathy was presented at the 6th Roundtable on ASEAN-Indian Network of Think Tanks, hosted by the Research and Innovation Systems for Developing Countries, New Delhi, 20-21 August.

 

“Coverage criteria based testing of industrial robots” , by Meenakshi D’Souza and Ameena K Ashraf (PH2018001), was presented at the 16th IEEE International Conference on Automation Science and Engineering (CASE) held during 20-21 August. The paper was presented virtually at the conference hosted in Hong Kong.

 

Brief Announcement: Almost-surely Terminating Asynchronous Byzantine Agreement Protocols with a Constant Expected Running Time” , by Ashish Choudhury  was published in the 39th ACM Symposium on Principles of Distributed Computing (PODC 2020), held virtually. PODC 2020: pp 169-171, ACM Press.

“Influence of Aleatoric Uncertainty on Semantic Classification of Airborne LiDAR Point Clouds: A Case Study with Random Forest Classifier Using Multiscale Features”, by Pragyan Mohapatra (MS2018009) and Jaya Sreevalsan Nair  was presented at the 2020 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS 2020), on 30th September, 2020.

 

“Design and Development of a Flexible Robotic Operative Microscope For Neurosurgical Applications” , by Arvind R (IMT2017519), Ronak Doshi (IMT2017523), Aravind Reddy (IMT2015524), Kirit Arumalla (NIMHANS), Dr Anita Mahadevan (NIMHANS), Dr Vikas Vazhayil (NIMHANS-IIITB), and Dr Madhav Rao (IIITB), was presented in the virtual 2020 IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation (ICMA) held during 13-16 October, 2020.

 

“Autonomous Neuro-Navigation System for Neurosurgical Robotics” , by PonDeepika (IIITB), SriramMarisetty (IMT2016120), Pavan Kumar Pothula (IMT2016127), Vinay C K (IMT2015523), Dr T K Srikanth (IIITB), Dr Vikas Vazhayil (NIMHANS-IIITB), and Dr Madhav Rao (IIITB) was presented in IEEE Sensors 2020 conference. The conference was held from October 25-28, 2020.
