A delegation of senior officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) in the Australian Government visited IIITB on 28th April. The delegation included Mr. Gary Cowan (First Assistant Secretary, North and South Asia Division, DFAT), Ms. Sarah Storey (Deputy High Commissioner, AHC New Delhi), Ms. Sarah Kirlew (Consul-General for South India, ACG Chennai) and Mr. Michael Costa (Deputy Consul-General for South India, ACG Chennai). The visiting Australian delegation held discussions with the Director and faculty members affiliated with the Institute’s Centre for IT and Public Policy (CITAPP) on plans to open a COE for cyber and critical tech policy as part of the Australia-India Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (AI-ECTA).
