IIIT-Bangalore embraced the ‘Clean IIIT-B drive’, aligning with the Swachh Bharat Mission and exemplifying a commitment to maintaining the cleanliness of the college premises. The student-led initiatives were organized across various locations and groups within the campus, all united in the common goal of fostering a hygienic environment.
Prioritizing the safety and effectiveness of the cleanup efforts, organizers ensured that all participating students were equipped with essential tools such as hand gloves, masks and cleaning items. The event commenced with a comprehensive awareness campaign, during which students actively distributed posters that underscored the significance of cleanliness and efficient waste management.
The collective dedication and hard work of participants led to the proper disposal of a significant volume of waste, resulting in a visible transformation of the campus into a cleaner and more pleasing space. Over 30 students, along with support staff, contributed to this endeavor, showcasing not only individual commitment but also a spirit of unity and collaboration for a shared cause.
As a conclusion to the cleaning activities, organizers arranged for healthy snacks for all participants.
