MoU between IIIT-B and Toshiba Software (India)

IIIT-Bangalore signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Toshiba Software (India) Private Limited (TSIP) to support the research project on “Zero Touch Security in Network for 5G and Beyond Systems”. The MoU was signed by Commodore SR Sridhar (Retd), Registrar, IIIT-B and Mr. Ramdas Baliga, Managing Director, TSIP, in the presence of Prof. Debabrata Das, Director, IIIT-B. The project will be led by principal investigator, Prof. Jyotsana Bapat, IIIT-B with a team of experts executing it.

Freshers’ Day



The Student Activities Council (SAC) provided students with a refreshing break from their routine classes and studies. They organized a fashion show, featuring enthusiastic students in stylish attire, followed by a dynamic dance performance. Simultaneously, the Screening Club organized the screening of an India-Pakistan Cricket match. A DJ was also brought in for a lively musical night. This successful break was made possible by SAC in collaboration with the Art Club, Music Club, Screening Club, Chhaychitra, and the Food Committee.

Swachh Bharat


As a part of Swachh Bharat Mission, the student community of IIIT-Bangalore held a clean drive. The students took collective initiatives in the proper disposal of waste.

World Food Day

On ‘World Food Day,’ students used a street play to advocate responsible food consumption and waste prevention. Our Chief Administration Officer, Mr. Jagadish Patil, shed light on food management topics, urged audience to avoid wastage and emphasized conscientious choices for addressing global food challenges.

The Garbha Night


The Student Activities Council (SAC) orchestrated the lively Garbha Night, a daylong celebration supported by the Food Committee and the Dance Club. The Dance Club played a crucial role, hosting workshops over two days in the Ramanujan Basement to teach registered students the rhythmic Garba steps. The culmination of the event featured the symbolic Ravan Dahan, a safe and controlled burning of the Ravan statue, signifying the triumph over evil by the united efforts of the students.

Synergy Tech Fest

Around 90 volunteers from various Student Clubs of IIIT-Bangalore came together to organise a tech fast called Synergy’ 2023 from October 27-29. There were hackathons, coding competitions and thought provoking discussions. On October 27, a cultural program was integrated into the tech fest, Synergy 2023.

National Unity Day


IIIT-Bangalore commemorated National Unity Day, paying tribute to the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, often referred to as the Iron Man of India. The occasion was marked by an event dedicated to encouraging unity within our community and nation, emphasizing the shared values that unite us all.
