Three students from IIIT-Bangalore have been selected for the prestigious Women in Semiconductors and Hardware (WISH) Program by Texas Instruments, a flagship mentorship initiative designed to encourage and empower women engineering students aspiring to build careers in semiconductor technology, embedded systems, and hardware engineering.
The selected students are Arismita Mukherjee, Patankar Aabha Samir, and Talla Likitha Reddy. Their selection reflects both academic excellence and strong technical aptitude in highly specialized engineering domains.
The WISH program offers participants a unique opportunity to engage with industry experts through mentorship by Texas Instruments engineers, technical learning sessions, hands-on projects and laboratory work, and meaningful exposure to real-world semiconductor and hardware applications. The initiative also provides valuable networking opportunities and serves as a potential pathway to internships and future career opportunities with Texas Instruments.
The selection process was rigorous and highly competitive, beginning with resume shortlisting followed by a comprehensive online assessment covering mathematics, physics, aptitude, electronics, and programming fundamentals. Candidates were further evaluated through reflective essays on their technical interests and professional aspirations.
The final interview round tested both conceptual understanding and practical application of core engineering principles. Discussions included topics such as RC circuits, MOSFETs, BJTs, frequency analysis, and engineering trade-offs involving area, delay, and power optimization, along with project-based conversations on applied domains such as radar systems and CMOS technologies.
