IIIT-B Participates in CIPU National Roundtable on Strengthening University Sports Ecosystems

Dr. Neha Arora, Sports Officer at the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT-B), represented the institute at the CIPU National Roundtable for University Sports Directors, organized by the Confederation of Indian Private Universities (CIPU) on May 8, 2026, at Sri Balaji University, Pune.

Centered on the theme “Strengthening University Sports Ecosystems: Talent Development, Infrastructure & Institutional Collaboration,” the roundtable brought together sports directors, academicians, and professionals from universities across India to deliberate on key aspects of sports development in higher education. Discussions focused on talent identification and nurturing, enhancement of sports infrastructure, athlete welfare, promotion of grassroots sports, and fostering collaborative partnerships among institutions.

The event served as a valuable platform for exchanging ideas on emerging trends and best practices in sports administration and management. Participants also emphasized the importance of building inclusive sporting environments and encouraging greater student participation to ensure holistic development.

Dr. Arora’s participation reflects IIIT-B’s continued commitment to fostering excellence beyond academics and strengthening its engagement in the broader university sports ecosystem through meaningful dialogue, collaboration, and innovation.
