The COMET Foundation at IIIT-Bangalore, in collaboration with MathWorks, successfully organized a “Hands-on Workshop on AI for Wireless Communications” on May 28, 2026. The workshop brought together students, researchers, and professionals for interactive sessions and practical demonstrations on AI-driven wireless technologies, including deep learning, modulation classification, and software-defined radios.

On 12 May 2026 Balaji Parthasarathy was invited by the Institute for Studies in Industrial Development (ISID), Delhi, to deliver a talk titled Digitalisation of Supply Chains and the Platform Economy at the workshop on Industrial Transformation: Prospects and Challenges.
Sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), the workshop brought together Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, and Post-Doctoral Fellows from institutions across the country to discuss emerging issues related to industrial and economic transformation.
During the session, Prof. Balaji Parthasarathy spoke about the growing role of digital technologies in reshaping supply chains and examined the expanding influence of platform-based business models on industry and labour. The discussion also explored broader questions around the opportunities and challenges associated with digital economies.
