Ramasubramanian was examiner of a Master thesis (from IISc, Bangalore): “Speech task-specific representation learning using acoustic-articulatory data”, submitted by Ms. Mannem Renuka, Dept. of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, June 2020.

Prof. Srinivas Vivek was invited to give a talk and participate in a panel discussion at NetApp SecCon 2020 security conference held on 10th March, 2020, in Bengaluru.

The title of the talk was “Cryptanalysis of a Protocol for Efficient Sorting on Homomorphically Encrypted Data”, and the topic of the panel discussion was Cloud Security”.

Meenakshi D’Souza gave two lectures on “Basic technical aspects of Software Testing” and on “Testing of Web applications” on an online webinar series organized by the ACM-W chapter of Kristu Jayanthi College (Autonomous), Bengaluru, on 22nd and 23rd June 2020.

Prof. G N Srinivasa Prasanna was one of the members in Ph.D. Selection Committee for 4PI Institute, CSIR.

Balaji Parthasarathy delivered a webinar titled Governance for Social Innovation: The Hybrid Domain, on 31st July 2020, at the O.P. Jindal Global University

Balaji Parthasarathy was invited to the keynote panel of the virtual 4th Annual Symposium of the Royal Geographical Society-Institute of British Geographer’s Digital Geography Research Group held on 1st July 2020, to discuss Using the Digital: Research Methodologies, Teaching, and Everyday Practice.

Dr. Madhav Rao (IIITB) and Dr. Vikas Vazhayil (NIMHANS) delivered an invited web seminar on “IoT, Edge, and Robotics for designing Modern Healthcare systems”, organized by IEEE Standards Association on July 30th, 2020. 1161 participants across 20 different countries registered for the event. Mr. Sanjaya M V (IIITB) moderated the webinar.

Prof. Srinivas Vivek was invited to deliver a tutorial on Cryptographic Engineering at IEEE CONECCT 2020 conference, held online by IEEE Bengaluru Chapter, on 2nd July, 2020.

Prof. V. Sridhar was invited as an panellist in the Webinar on “Frauds in the time of COVID-19 – Phishing, payment frauds and dark web activities”. Best Practices Meet 2020, Data Security Council of India (DSCI) on 8th July 2020.

Prof. V. Sridhar was invited panelist in the Webinar on “Does your COVID-19 tracing app follow you for ever?”. IEEE Standard Association – Digital Inclusion, Identity, Trust and Agency (DIITA), on 9th July 2020.

Prof. Neelam Sinha was a Thesis examiner for Mr. Ajin Joy, PhD student at IIIT-Trivandrum, for thesis titled : “Robust Approaches to Non-Linear Diffusion Based Compressed Sensing in Parallel MRI”

Prof. Neelam Sinha was a Thesis examiner for Ms. Krati Gupta, PhD student at IIT-Mandi, for thesis titled : “Classification of Staining Patterns on HEp-2 Specimen Images”

Prof. Neelam Sinha co-organised “Women-in-Engineering” a special session in SPCOM-2020, along with Prof. Anubha Gupta (IIIT-Delhi)
