Indeed, it was a pride that India was chosen as the ‘Country of the Year’ partner at VivaTech, an annual technology conference which was recently held in Paris, dedicated to research, innovation and startups to ignite positive change in business and for society. Our Director, Prof. Debabrata Das spoke on “Digital Commons and DEPA” at VivaTech. At India Pavilion of this prestigious event, IIIT Bangalore showcased its contribution to the world in the form of “MOSIP – Modular Open Source Identity Platform”. It is a digital identity platform to generate a unique ID for citizens. IIIT Bangalore’s contribution has really gone global with MOSIP getting rolled out in countries like Morocco, Philippines and currently at pilot stage in Sri Lanka, Togo, Ethiopia and Guinea.
