To celebrate Teacher’s Day, IIIT-Bangalore in collaboration with a new educational children’s series called ‘Story Akka’ ”-a radio program series in Kannada, set to launch on All India Radio, Akashvani from September 5 to October 28. This unique series was designed to inspire empathy and understanding among children towards people with disabilities, featuring heartwarming stories and insights into digital assistive technologies.

Prof. Ishu Gupta delivered an invited talk in FDP on “ Research Applications in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning(ML) at J S S Academy of Technical Education, Bengaluru

September 14-15
The Trustworthy Digital Identity International Conference 2023, was co-hosted by IIIT-B with the Alan Turing Institute, UK during September 14-15. The conference was held in hybrid mode with in-person event at IIIT-B. The event attracted about 50 in-person delegates and about 25 online attendees. About 10 research papers, and 5 posters were presented in the conference. There were 4 keynote talks by experts in the digital ID space and a panel discussion.

Prof. Jaya Sreevalsan Nair is an Academic Editor of Public Library of Science (PLOS) Complex Systems (2023-). PLOS Complex Systems is a community-led journal focused on research to understand the drivers and behaviors of complex systems. Research will cover networks and network theory, nonlinear relationships, and the use of data, and computational analysis to model and understand complex systems.

Prof. Ishu Gupta served as Session Chair at the 2nd International Conference on Forensic Justice 2023 for Digital Forensic Tools and Techniques track.

September 22
Prof. V Sridhar gave a talk and was a panelist in the session titled “An overview of 6G: Developments and Challenges” in the 6G workshop organized by CUTS International with IIIT-Bangalore as one of the academic partners.

September 29-30
IIIT-Bangalore was a Community Parnter in the Open Source India 2022 event at NIMHANS Convention Centre, Bengaluru (https://www.opensourceindia.in/). The Academic partnership with Open Source India 2022 event was immensely helpful. Fifty students from IIIT-B attended the conference and they acknowledged the program was current, very relevant and useful to them. The program gave the participants a few open source ideas that can be put in to practice in our Open Source Technology Lab projects.
