IIIT-B Hosts AI Readiness Training for Assam Cadre Officers in Collaboration with EkStep Foundation
Government officers from the Assam Cadre gathered in Bengaluru for an AI Readiness Training programme hosted by IIIT-Bangalore and EkStep Foundation from 20–25 April 2026.

The programme focused on helping officers identify AI use cases, evaluate solutions, and ensure accountable AI adoption in public systems. Participants explored practical AI tools and developed 90-day action plans for implementation.
IIIT-B Hosts Session with Prof. Trilochan Sastry on Informed Voting and Youth Participation in Democracy

On 22 April 2026, the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT-B) hosted an engaging session on the importance of informed voting and the role of youth in strengthening Indian democracy. The discussion, led by Prof. Trilochan Sastry, on the gap between India’s young population and its political representation, while also examining the challenges faced by young voters in the electoral process. The session further emphasized the need to encourage greater civic awareness and active participation among youth to build a more inclusive and representative democratic system. Prof. Sastry shared valuable insights on how informed decision-making and increased engagement can contribute to strengthening democratic values in the country.
