On 27 April, The International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT-B) has partnered with global academic publisher De Gruyter Brill to launch the IIIT-B–De Gruyter Brill Series, a new scholarly book series dedicated to advancing research at the intersection of computer science, engineering, and digital transformation.
The initiative marks a significant milestone in IIIT-B’s continued commitment to research excellence and global knowledge dissemination. The series will publish high-quality research monographs, advanced textbooks, and edited volumes across a range of disciplines, including computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning and data science, electronics and communication engineering, embedded systems, software engineering, applied sciences, digital public infrastructure (DPI), and the emerging field of digital humanities and societal systems.
Designed as a platform for rigorous, peer-reviewed scholarship, the series aims to bridge foundational research with real-world technological and societal impact. Guided by IIIT-B’s academic leadership and thematic expertise, it will also welcome contributions from researchers and scholars worldwide.
Speaking on the collaboration, Professor Debabrata Das, Director, IIIT-B, highlighted the importance of creating credible platforms for knowledge dissemination and emphasized the institute’s vision of enabling impactful research to reach a global audience.
The partnership combines IIIT-B’s research strengths with De Gruyter Brill’s international publishing expertise and distribution network, creating new opportunities for scholars to share their work widely. The IIIT-B–De Gruyter Brill Series is expected to emerge as a leading platform for scholarship addressing both the technical and societal dimensions of digital innovation, further strengthening IIIT-B’s global academic presence.
