Two iMTech students, Divyansh Singhal and Chinmay Sultania, had papers accepted for publication in IEEE Sensors 2023, along with a poster presentation in Vienna, Austria, from October 29 to November 1, 2023. Co-authors include Anshul Madurwar, Mayank Kabra, Soham Pawar (iMTech), and Prof. Madhav Rao of IIIT-Bangalore. The research introduces a novel system that integrates wearable haptic sensing technology with real-time mapping and navigation. This system enhances graphical information accessibility for visually impaired individuals, providing a cost-effective learning tool. Overcoming traditional tactile graphics limitations, it empowers visually impaired students to perceive and explore graphical content in the classroom, thereby improving accessibility and inclusivity in education.
