Release of “Work from Anywhere: Accessing Indian Tech Talent”

The report “Work from Anywhere: Accessing Indian Tech Talent” was released on Thursday, 23 November 2023, in Melbourne, at the 6th Annual Australia India Leadership Dialogue (AILD2023) hosted by the Australia India Institute (AII). Authored by Prof. Balaji Parthasarathy, Prof. Janaki Srinivasan and IIIT-B Alumna Dr. Deepti Balaji Raykar, the report investigates the trade-offs in balancing the demands of traditional workplace structures and the flexibility afforded by emerging technologies. The report was released by P Thiaga Rajan, Minister of Information Technology and Digital Services, Government of Tamil Nadu, and The Hon. Lisa Singh, CEO AII (2nd from right), with Avani Solanki Prabhakar of Atlassian, Principal Sponsor of AILD2023.

Bengaluru Tech Summit 2023

IIIT-Bangalore actively participated in the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2023 (BTS 2023) with the overarching theme of ‘Breaking Boundaries’, emphasizing innovation, disruption, and exploration. Showcasing its cutting-edge research, IIIT-B unveiled advancements in machine intelligence, robotics, communication technologies, virtual reality solutions for business, warehouse autonomous sorting, smart irrigation, and digital twins within a spacious pavilion.

From November 29 to December 1, 2023, IIIT-B took the opportunity to exhibit its remarkable 25-year journey to the world. The showcase not only highlighted the institute’s significant contributions to the field of technology but also demonstrated its commitment to pushing the boundaries of knowledge and innovation. The event served as a platform for IIIT-B to engage with industry leaders, showcase its pioneering research, and contribute to the broader discourse on the future of technology and its impact on society.
