She spoke on “Recognising non-use: Towards a more inclusive internet” based on her research on how gender mediates public WiFi accessibility, use and non-use in rural India.

Prof. Srinivas Vivek was invited to be an external examiner to review the Ph.D. thesis of Sruthi Sekar submitted to the Dept. of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Science. The title of the thesis is “Near-optimal Non-malleable Codes and Leakage Resilient Secret Sharing Schemes”. The thesis defense was held on 11th March, 2022.
