Our Integrated M. Tech. student, Ayush Arya Kashyap, has won the Jury Recommendation Prize of ₹25,000 at the SEBI Securities Market Hackathon 2025!

The hackathon, powered by BSE, CDSL, KFINTECH, NSDL, and SEBI, took place throughout September 2025, with the award ceremony held on October 8, 2025, during the Global Fintech Fest at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, Mumbai.

Ayush built an AI-powered fraud detection system to make the securities market safer and more transparent. His innovative idea and dedication were highly appreciated by the jury.

Our Ph.D. scholar, Sandeep Agrawal, has been selected as one of the IEEE SA Standards Medallion Recipients for his exceptional leadership and contributions to the development of rural broadband standards and solutions.

Our 2nd-year B.Tech. student team “BP,” comprising Pragun K Kirani, Varshith M Gowda, Ajay Javali , and R S Tarun, participated in Aarambh, an ideathon at Incub8, NITK, and won first place. A total of 295 teams across India participated in the event.

The team built a gamified solution for teen drug abuse prevention during the 24-hour ideathon. Their solution was selected for the second round, featuring the top 12 teams. They pitched their idea and app to the jury in the final round and secured first place, winning a prize pool of ₹30,000.

The Painting Competition titled “Viksit Bharat” was organized by the Art Club. The event invited participants to express their vision of a developed India through art. All materials, including paints, brushes, and paper, were provided, allowing participants to focus entirely on their creativity and imagination.

The competition saw enthusiastic participation from students across batches, with artworks reflecting themes of innovation, sustainability, equality, and progress. At the end of the session, the top three artworks were awarded prizes of ₹1,500, ₹1,000, and ₹500 respectively. Additionally, there was a special mention for one of the paintings in recognition of its outstanding effort.

October 30, 2025

On October 30, 2025, in Brasília, Prof. Debabrata Das, Director of IIIT-Bangalore, and Mr. Rodrigo Ortiz, President of DataPrev, Government of Brazil, signed an MoU to strengthen Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) collaboration between the COSS Centre of Excellence (CoE) at IIIT-Bangalore and the Government of Brazil.

The ceremony was graced by Minister Ms. Christina, the Indian Ambassador, and other eminent dignitaries from the Government of Brazil.


We are pleased to inform you that our music club-Symphony, participated in Waves ’25, the annual cultural festival of BITS Pilani, Goa Campus, and took part in various music competitions.
