Prof. Balaji Parthasarathy delivers plenary talk titled at the 18th Special Interest Group Design Theory Paris Workshop

Prof. Balaji Parthasarathy was invited to deliver the plenary talk titled “Designing institutions for Inclusive Technologies: Episode from India’s Experience with Information Technologies” at the 18th Special Interest Group Design Theory Paris Workshop of The International Design Society. The workshop was held at the École nationale supérieure des mines de Paris.

Naga Sai Jagadeesh Represents IIIT-B at Prestigious ORF Hackathon

Our M.Sc. Digital Society student, Naga Sai Jagadeesh Chitroju, proudly represented IIIT-Bangalore at the Observer Research Foundation Hackathon, hosted by the University of Lucknow. Competing under the Digital Future category, he contributed to this prestigious policy-driven event organized by the Ministry of External Affairs.
The hackathon served as a dynamic platform for participants to engage with government officials and propose impactful policy recommendations. This year, the event witnessed an impressive participation of over 4,000 individuals, with Jagadeesh making his mark among them.

Prof. Balaji Parthasarathy Speaks on Platform Economy and Gig Work at Krea University

Prof. Balaji Parthasarathy was invited to speak at the workshop on Understanding Platform Economy and Gig Work in India hosted by the Moturi Satyanarayana Centre for Advanced Studies in the Humanities and Social Sciences, Krea University. Prof. Balaji spoke on Dynamics of Platform Work: Prespectives from the Fairwork India project.
