Prof. Jaya Sreevalsan Nair received the 2024 Practitioner Grant for Geospatial Work by the Women in GIS (WiGIS) Awards and Scholarships Program. WiGIS Awards recognize the contributions of women to geospatial fields. The scholarships provide funds for education expenses to undergraduate and graduate students and seed grants for women in the professional or academic sectors to support projects and research in a myriad of geospatial areas.
