July has always been a special month at IIIT-Bangalore, and this year was no exception. It is a time when we bid farewell to our graduating students while opening our doors to new batches of aspiring minds. The campus was abuzz with energy as the month unfolded with significant events, celebrations, and achievements.

We began the month on a high note with our Silver Jubilee Convocation, a proud moment marking 25 years of academic excellence. This was followed by the admissions season, during which we welcomed students across all our programmes.

The month was equally remarkable in terms of recognition and accolades. Our Director, Prof. Debabrata Das, was honoured with the Distinguished Alumnus Award 2025 by his alma mater, IIT Kharagpur. IIIT-Bangalore also received the Excellence Award in Gold for Outstanding Sustainability Initiatives, Biodiversity Management, and Social Welfare & Community Services by ELCITA—an acknowledgment of our commitment to creating a positive impact beyond the campus.

We also welcomed new faculty members to the institute, further strengthening our academic community.

July set a strong foundation for the months ahead, marking both proud milestones and fresh beginnings for the institute.
