Prof. Shiva Kumar Malapaka delivered an invited talk as part of the Faculty Development Programme on ‘Quantum Computing – A Practical Approach’ at the Department of CSE (Cyber Security), MSRIT, Bengaluru. He was invited to speak on Quantum Communication, and his talk was titled “Introduction to Quantum Computing for Quantum Networks”

Balaji Parthasarathy and Sridhar Varadharajan, with Samuel Bashfield of the Australia India Institute (AII), led the discussions at the 1.5 track Australia-India Cables Dialogue 2025, in Perth. The discussions were held as part of the AII-IIIT-B Strengthening Submarine Cable Connectivity, Resilience and Supply Chains project, which is supported by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and runs from December 2024 to June 2026 The Dialogue brought together key Australian and Indian academics, policy analysts, and representatives from the cable industry and the government, to determine how the two nations can better promote Indo-Pacific submarine cable connectivity, digital resilience and supply chains.
