Every year, Ganesh Chaturthi arrives with an air of joy, devotion, and celebration, and this time, IIIT-Bangalore was no exception. The entire campus came alive as students came together to welcome Bappa with immense love and enthusiasm.
The celebrations began with the arrival of Lord Ganesha’s idol on campus. As the procession moved through the pathways of IIIT-B, chants of Ganpati Bappa Morya, and beaming smiles created an atmosphere buzzing with energy. Students walked alongside, celebrating every step and welcoming Bappa with open hearts.
As the evening unfolded, the campus was wrapped in devotion and togetherness. The atmosphere grew even more soulful when Symphony, the Music Club of IIIT-B, set the stage with a heartfelt performance. Their melodies created a vibe where every student felt connected-not just to the celebration, but to each other. With traditional attire adding to the charm, the college glowed with culture, vibrance, and a sense of belonging.
For two days, Bappa’s presence filled the campus with joy, laughter, and unity. But as every celebration must meet its closure, the final day of Visarjan arrived. Yet, even parting had its own beauty. The farewell procession was nothing short of spectacular-bursts of color, music in the air, and students dancing their hearts out. It was a mix of emotions: joy for the memories created, and bittersweet sorrow as it was time to bid goodbye.
But the night didn’t end there. The campus transformed into a dance floor as students gathered for an energetic Garba, spinning and twirling with unstoppable enthusiasm. It wasn’t just a dance it was a celebration of friendship, culture, and the promise of Bappa’s return next year.
As the festival concluded, what lingered was not sadness, but a glow of gratitude and excitement for the future. The Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at IIIT-B weren’t just about tradition they were about togetherness, memories, and the spirit of community that makes our campus so special.
