
Infin8, the annual cultural extravaganza of IIIT-Bangalore, recently drew its curtains on a truly mesmerizing 2026 edition themed “Under the Sea”. Over three spirited days from January 30th to February 1st, the campus transformed into a vibrant ocean of creativity, energy, and community spirit. As the waves of excitement settle, here is the complete recap of every moment that defined this unforgettable chapter.
Day 1 of Infin8 ’26 eased everyone into the fest with a perfect mix of intellect, creativity, and competition, gradually building excitement across the campus.The morning then moved into engaging events like Ancient Echoes, a spirituality-themed quiz that encouraged participants to explore philosophy and culture, alongside Inkspiration, a fast-paced pictionary competition fueled by creativity and quick thinking. Artistic expression took center stage at Brush Up, where painters transformed blank canvases into vivid stories, while J.A.M (Just A Minute) kept the energy high with spontaneous speaking and rapid reasoning. As the afternoon unfolded, enthusiasm continued to rise with League of Fanatics, a genre-based pop trivia quiz that brought out competitive fandoms, and Trapped in Tangents, a math games challenge that proved logic can be just as exciting as art and music.
As the day moved closer to evening, the campus once again buzzed with activity as stalls across IIIT-Bangalore became lively gathering spots. From the popular Thrift Store to Bistro’s crowd-favorite Vada Pav Challenge, along with a wide range of food stalls, these spaces offered moments of relaxation, conversation, and indulgence between events.

The evening truly ignited with Impulse’s Flash Mob, an electrifying surprise that had the entire campus grooving. Day 1 concluded on a soulful and memorable note with a captivating Solo Singing performance by Prateeksha Srivastava, leaving the audience immersed in the spirit of Infin8.
Day 2 of Infin8 ’26 marked a noticeable rise in intensity, as the fest moved into a full-fledged celebration of performance, competition, and collaboration, with the campus buzzing from morning till night. The day began with intense energy and expression as Nukkad Natak took over open spaces on campus, delivering powerful street performances rooted in social commentary. Running alongside these was E-Cell’s IPL Auction, a strategic flagship event that saw enthusiastic bidding, quick decision-making, and high participation throughout the morning. Adding a completely different kind of intensity, Power Lifting tested strength and endurance, drawing cheers with every successful lift.

As the day moved into the afternoon, the focus shifted to theatrical and musical finesse. Mono-Acting showcased gripping solo performances marked by emotional depth, while Rangmanch, the stage play competition, immersed audiences in compelling narratives and strong ensemble acting. Musical talent continued to shine through Sargam, a vocal competition celebrating melody and control, followed by Saaz, Sur & Taal, where instrumentalists captivated listeners with rhythm and harmony.

As evening approached, the campus transformed once again with Capture The Kingdom, a large-scale collaborative event led by 8Bit along with multiple college clubs. Spanning across Day 2 and Day 3, it turned the entire campus into an interactive playground, encouraging teamwork, exploration, and creativity, and quickly became one of the most wholesome and engaging experiences of Infin8.
The day concluded on a calm and enchanting note with a soulful Solo Singing performance by Vaani Bhasin, bringing Day 2 to a graceful and memorable close.
The final day of Infin8 ’26 embraced celebration at its peak, blending creativity, glamour, and expression. The day opened gracefully with Nritta, a solo and duet dance competition that showcased elegance, rhythm, and storytelling through movement. Cinema lovers gathered for Cut To The Chase, a short film competition that highlighted compelling narratives and visual craft. Words carried weight at Echoes of Expression, a slam poetry event that resonated deeply with emotion and perspective, while Rewind Quiz 2025 challenged participants to test their memory and wit.
As the day progressed, the stage lit up with Infinitude, the group dance competition that delivered synchronized energy and powerful choreography. This was followed by Ramp It Up, a fashion show that brought together confidence, creativity, and bold expression, setting the stage for the fest’s grand closing moments.
Throughout all three days of Infin8 ’26, the fest also hosted a range of continuously running competitive and creative events that kept participants engaged beyond fixed time slots. Gaming enthusiasts battled it out in BGMI, Valorant, Clash Royale, FIFA, and GeoGuessr, turning strategy, reflexes, and geography into thrilling esports showdowns. Visual creativity flourished through Sneak & Click, a photography-based game, along with Sonic Frames, reel-making competitions that encouraged participants to capture the essence of the fest in motion. These all-day events added an ever-present buzz to the campus, seamlessly weaving competition into the fabric of Infin8.
The final stretch of Infin8 was pure magic. Rock On, featuring a high-energy performance by The 9Teen, had the entire crowd singing and jumping along. The fest closed in full throttle with DJ Night by Swattrex, ensuring Infin8 ’26 ended exactly how it deserved – loud, electric, and unforgettable.
