Synergy’25 at IIIT-Bangalore unfolded as a vibrant celebration of technology, creativity, and community. Over three exciting days, the campus transformed into a dynamic space where ideas were exchanged, prototypes were built, and students pushed the boundaries of what they could create. With more than 50+ events and thousands of participants from various colleges, the fest showcased the collective spirit of IIIT-B.

The festival opened with an energetic ceremony that brought together artistry and engineering. Performances by Symphony and Impulse set the mood, followed by an impressive robotics showcase featuring a drone demonstration and a humanoid robot. It was the perfect curtain-raiser for a fest rooted in the blend of technology and imagination, and the excitement in the crowd signaled what the next three days had in store.

Throughout the event, students immersed themselves in hackathons, coding challenges, design and media contests, gaming tournaments, and hands-on workshops. Synergy’25 wasn’t simply a collection of events; it became a space where participants could learn by doing experimenting, building, collaborating, and discovering new interests along the way. The energy was visible everywhere, from intense brainstorming sessions to spontaneous discussions in hallways and late-evening project refinements. Alongside the events, the campus was lined with a wide variety of food stalls, game booths, perfume stalls, and VR gaming setups that kept the fest lively throughout the day. These stalls added a fun, relaxed dimension to the technical intensity of Synergy and became natural hangout spots between events.
A highlight of this year’s Synergy was the presence of industry leaders who shared their experience and insights with the student community. Mr. Balaji Haridass from LG spoke about innovation and leadership in the tech industry, while Mr. GS Srinidhi from GE Healthcare offered an inspiring look at how artificial intelligence is reshaping modern medicine. On the final day, Mr. Sanat Kumar Mohapatra from Aurigo discussed the growing role of AI in construction and infrastructure. Their talks gave students a clearer sense of how technology connects to the real world and the kind of impact they can create. Another unique attraction this year was the cardboard planetarium set up by Eclipse, the astronomy club of IIIT-B, giving attendees a chance to explore the wonders of the cosmos in a unique, student-built space.

As always, Synergy was made possible through strong partnerships. LG came on board as the title sponsor this year, supported by Aurigo, MOSIP, ELCIA, and CTRI. Techobytes, the workshop partner, amplified the learning experience through immersive technical sessions. Their involvement strengthened the fest’s vision of bringing academia and industry closer together.
Woven into the busy schedule was a meaningful initiative: a raffle fundraiser conducted in support of the Creature Hero Foundation, an organization dedicated to protecting endangered species and encouraging young conservationists. Seeing a technology festival engage with environmental responsibility added a thoughtful dimension to the celebration and reminded everyone that innovation and empathy can go hand in hand.

More than a techfest, Synergy has always been a reflection of the institute’s identity. Synergy’25 wasn’t just experienced; it was lived, and it will continue to inspire long after the tents are taken down and the lights fade out.
