IIIT-Bangalore celebrated National Library Week with Bibliomania, a vibrant book exhibition
inaugurated by Prof. Debabrata Das, Director, IIIT-Bangalore. In his brief address, he emphasised the value of reading in building curiosity and supporting lifelong learning.
The exhibition featured nine book suppliers and distributors, offering a wide range of
academic titles, fiction, non-fiction, and contemporary works. Organised under the leadership
of Ms. Ramadevi S (Librarian and Manager – Information Services), the event provided a welcoming space for students to explore books
beyond their regular coursework.

A special highlight of the day was a calm book-reading session led by Ms. Roshni Dsouza, Head – Strategic Partnerships, Alumni Relations, Career Development (SPARC), who read from The Perks of Being a Wallflower, creating a warm, reflective moment for the audience.
To add more engagement, the 8bit Club conducted a short story writing competition and an
exciting treasure hunt, both of which saw enthusiastic participation.

Bibliomania offered a refreshing break from screens and reminded students of the timeless joy of reading.
