IIIT-Bangalore, in collaboration with BMST, successfully organised a Blood Donation Camp where more than 90 units of blood were donated by our students, faculty, and staff.

This overwhelming participation reflects the spirit of compassion and social responsibility within our community. Every single donation is a step towards saving lives and creating hope for those in need. A heartfelt thank you to all the donors and volunteers who made this initiative possible and impactful.


September 8, 2025


Valedictory Function for the K-VLSI PG Diploma Programme, Cohort 2, was organized successfully. A total of 133 students graduated, and one student was recognised as the Best Student of the Cohort. Students from 15 towns across Karnataka participated in this programme, and they have now successfully graduated with the K-VLSI PG Diploma certificate.

The ceremony was graced by Prof. Debabrata Das, Director, IIIT-Bangalore, Prof. Chandrashekar Ramanathan, Dean (Academics), Prof. Madhav Rao, HoD (ECE) and KVLSI programme coordinator and Cmde S. R. Sridhar (Retd.), Registrar.

We thank the Department of IT & BT, Government of Karnataka, KDEM, SFAL, and IESA for their invaluable support in making this programme a success.

The heavens turned crimson, and the IIIT-B Astronomy Club bore witness. On the night of September 7 and into the morning of September 8, our Astronomy Club stayed up late to track the Blood Moon eclipse.


September 13, 2025 
The Aikyam Club of IIIT-Bangalore visited Surbhi Trust Orphanage, where they gave groceries and spent time with the children. Their innocent laughter and bright smiles served as a reminder that kindness is among the most valuable gifts we can share.

This visit was not just about giving things, but about love, care, and togetherness. Let’s all do our part to build a world full of kindness and compassion.

Prof. Ragurama Bharadwaj conducted a session for all administrative staff members on Generative AI. In this session, he covered how to use Generative AI for day-to-day activities and discussed the security and privacy-related issues associated with it.


September 18, 2025


A one-day workshop on “Modern Software Engineering Practice,” including both classroom theory sessions and hands-on practical sessions, was conducted for software engineers, application developers, programmers, web developers, database designers, data engineers, IT consultants, and other officials from various departments of the Government of Karnataka. The workshop was organised by the Centre for Technology Research and Innovation – Digital Governance, IIIT-Bangalore.
A total of 31 participants from departments such as CSG, Sakala Mission, State Hostel Project, KSRSAC, Kutumba Project, State Scholarship Project, EDCS, and CM Dashboard (CeG) attended the workshop.

With the blessings of Maa Durga and the dedicated efforts of Aikyam, the Navratri weekend at IIIT-B came alive with Umeed ’25, the annual cultural fundraiser. The three-day festival opened with pottery sessions, lively food stalls, a thrilling Esports tournament, a magic show, open-mic acts, and stand-up comedy.
Day two blended devotion and celebration with Durga Puja, followed by a dazzling night of garba and dandiya, uniting the community in dance and tradition. Sunday brought creativity with a cheerful tote-bag painting session, bustling stalls, and the grand Diwali Mela Musical Cultural Night, turning the campus into a vibrant dance floor.
The festival brimmed with culture, creativity, competition, and camaraderie, leaving participants with cherished memories. Above all, every moment of fun contributed to a noble cause, making Umeed ’25 an unforgettable celebration of spirit and community.
