Prof. Ahana Pradhan, Department of CSE, IIIT-B, was invited to present her paper titled “Defog: Extending Hidden Query Extraction to Group Filters”, co-authored with Prof. Jayant Haritsa, IISc, at the India AI Impact Summit in Delhi recently.
The paper was accepted at CODS 2025 and received the Best Paper Runner-Up Award at the conference.
At the AI Summit, it was showcased under the Global South Research Showcase category, which highlighted papers from top-ranked AI conferences over the past two years authored by researchers from South Asian countries.

More than compliance: Ethics for governance and Conscious Decision-Making in health technologies
Deepa Austin, Post-doctoral scholar at the policy wing at the Centre for Internet of Ethical Things (CIET) IIIT-Bangalore presented their work as part of the India AI Impact Summit 2026 at the Karnataka Pavilion. The research was supported by the Department of IT and BT, Government of Karnataka, with a focus on developing an Ethical Evaluation Methodology for Digital Health. The output is a framework with 80 guiding questions across the life cycle of technology development that can help decision-makers and technology developers to evaluate the ethical implications, design, development, implementation and scaling-up strategies through identified ethical dimensions.

Ganesha (PH2019003) presented the paper titled “SEU-Resilient Network Architecture: A Novel Formal-Methods Framework for Reliable 5G/6G Systems” co-authored by Prof. Sujit Kumar Chakrabarti at NCC 2026 held at IIT Hyderabad.
