MOSIP Country Conversations was recently held in Rabat, Morocco. Prof. Debabrata Das, Director, IIIT-Bangalore, delivered the welcome address. The inauguration and keynote addresses were delivered by Mr. Kris Gopalakrishnan, Chairman of the IIIT-B Governing Body, and Mr. Wali Abdelhak Harrak, Director of Information Systems and Telecommunications, Ministry of the Interior, Kingdom of Morocco. The MOSIP Ledger was presented by Prof. S Rajagopalan, President, MOSIP.


Over 120 representatives from 35 countries are participating in the four-day conclave.

IIITB COMET Foundation and Keysight Technologies organised a one-day workshop at IIIT-Bangalore. The theme of the workshop was “Advancing 5G–6G Intelligence: From Open RAN to Intelligent Wireless Systems.”

The 3rd National Conference of the Visually Impaired Bank Employees Welfare Association (VIBEWA) was recently held at IIIT-Bangalore. The conference, themed “Inclusive Banking for Divyangjan Bank Employees,” brought together over 250 participants from across India, including employees with visual, hearing, locomotor, and multiple disabilities representing Public Sector Banks, Private Sector Banks, Regional Rural Banks (RRBs), and other financial institutions.
The event was supported by IIIT-Bangalore, Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled, and Snehadeep Trust, reflecting strong collaboration between academia, civil society, and the banking sector.

IIIT-Bangalore was pleased to host H.E. Esther Dweck, Minister of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI), Government of Brazil, along with Luanna Roncaratti, Deputy Secretary for Digital Government (MGI); Beatriz Vasconcellos, Deputy Secretary for Digital Transformation, Presidency of the Republic; Rodrigo Assumpção, President, Dataprev; and a senior delegation comprising representatives from federal ministries, digital agencies, and leading researchers in AI and digital public infrastructure.

The visit builds on the ongoing engagement between IIIT-B and MGI across digital public infrastructure initiatives in agriculture, education, and related public sector domains. Over the past two years, teams have been working together to examine how interoperable digital systems and open public platforms can support large-scale service delivery within federal governance contexts.

During the interaction at IIIT-B, the delegation engaged with faculty and programme teams on India’s experience with DPI, implementation pathways, institutional design, and emerging AI applications in public systems. Discussions focused on practical collaboration models and potential areas for expanded technical and research cooperation.

The meetings were substantive and constructive. Both sides expressed interest in advancing structured engagement and identifying clear next steps for continued Brazil–India collaboration.

IIIT-B looks forward to strengthening its partnership with MGI and deepening cooperation on digital public systems.

The OpenG2P team came together for a two-day All-Hands Meet to connect, reflect on progress, and align on the road ahead. Prof. Debabrata Das, Director of IIIT-B, Prof. S. Rajagopalan, President of OpenG2P, addressed the team.

Discussions covered OpenG2P’s impact and vision, cross-team collaboration, branding and communications, and the potential of AI to strengthen our work. It also highlighted that every contribution matters, and our collective efforts are essential to driving greater impact.
