The 77th Republic Day celebrations at IIIT-B unfolded with pride, discipline, and a strong sense of unity, as students, staff, and faculty gathered to commemorate the day our Constitution came into force.

The morning resonated with patriotism, reminding everyone of the values that bind us together as a nation. The proceedings began with meticulous arrangements by the security personnel, ensuring an orderly and dignified atmosphere. Soon, the campus grounds filled with students, faculty, and staff, all gathered to take part in the celebrations with enthusiasm and reverence.

The arrival of the Director marked the formal commencement of the event. The unfurling of the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem, created a powerful and emotional moment, instilling a deep sense of patriotism and collective responsibility among everyone present.

The oath ceremony that followed encouraged the gathering to reflect on their duties as citizens and to reaffirm their commitment to constitutional values. In his address, the Director Prof. Debabrata Das spoke about integrity, responsibility, and national pride, echoing the spirit of Vande Mataram. He also highlighted how the research, innovation, and academic efforts at our college contribute to the nation, emphasizing that progress in knowledge, technology, and ideas plays an important role in building a stronger and more self-reliant India.

The celebration continued with the Republic Day Award Ceremony, recognising individuals for their dedication and contributions. These moments of appreciation served as a reminder that sincere effort and service, in any form, contribute to the larger good of society.

The cultural segment added life and warmth to the event. Symphony, the music club, delivered two soulful performances that stirred patriotic emotions and connected the audience through music. Parvaaz, the drama club, presented a thoughtful play that conveyed strong social and national messages through engaging storytelling. The celebration was further enriched by a dynamic dance performance by Impulse, the dance club, whose expressive movements beautifully captured the spirit of unity and celebration.

The event concluded with a warm vote of thanks, followed by a sweet distribution, symbolizing joy and togetherness. As the gathering dispersed, the spirit of Republic Day lingered on, leaving everyone inspired and reminded of their role as responsible citizens.

The 77th Republic Day celebration was not just an event, but a meaningful reminder of our shared values-unity, integrity, and commitment to the nation.
