November 2025 was a vibrant and eventful month at IIIT-Bangalore, filled with celebrations, achievements, and inspiring engagements across campus.
We marked 150 years of the Vande Mataram song and celebrated Kannada/Karnataka Rajyotsava, bringing culture and community spirit to the forefront. IIIT-B also participated in the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025, showcasing several of our cutting-edge research projects and demos. In recognition of these efforts, the institute received two prestigious honours: the “Sustainability Stall – Visionary” Award and the “Best Assistive Technology (AT) Initiative among Educational Institutes”.
The month also included the observance of Constitution Day, reaffirming our commitment to democratic values.
As part of National Library Week, we hosted the second edition of “Bibliomania”, a book fest that drew enthusiastic participation from the campus community. We were privileged to witness several distinguished talks, including the Samvaad–ACM Distinguished Talk by Prof. Ricardo Baeza-Yates from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm.
In sports, a day-long workshop on “Sports Injuries: Prevention, Care & Rehabilitation” saw significant participation and was widely appreciated by attendees.
On the alumni front, we celebrated a proud moment as Nibin Mathew, our alumnus, secured the Silver Medal for India at the International IBTA Burgundy Grand Prix Finals 2025 in France.
Overall, November was truly one of the most happening and memorable months for us at IIIT-Bangalore.
Happy Reading!
