The event was graced by Prof. Debabrata Das, Director, IIIT-B, who officially inaugurated the branch and delivered an insightful lecture on “How WiFi Avoids Collision While Sending Information.”
Prof. Das’s talk offered a fascinating glimpse into the intelligent mechanisms behind wireless communication and how modern networks ensure seamless data transfer in shared environments.

The international conferences ATVA and APLAS 2025, 23rd in the series, were held at IIIT-Bangalore. A total of 13 research papers were presented at APLAS, and 21 research and tool papers were presented at ATVA 2025.

IIIT-Bangalore celebrated Unity Day to honour Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India. The guest speaker, Shri Raghunandan ji, spoke about Patel’s inspiring journey, how he earned his name through determination, and his immense contribution to uniting the nation.
He beautifully explained that India does not merely have unity in diversity, but unity that manifests diversity, reminding us of the importance of ethics and staying united as a nation. He also appreciated the open-mindedness of today’s youth towards Indian culture and emphasized the significance of celebrating Ekta Diwas.
The event concluded with an engaging quiz on Unity Day, adding to the spirit of learning and reflection.
